Re: PFF Draft Simulator
I just don't get the pre-draft hype. Nobody other than those making the picks have any impact on who is actually taken by whom. I am as excited as the next person, however, during our picks of the actual draft just to see who we get. At that point I learn as much as possible about that player. I don't really expect, however, any true determination of the value of the player picked until at least two or three years down the road. If they prove their worth earlier, great! That's why I see draft grades as totally meaningless. That appears to be the feeling of many so-called experts in the field, as well, even as they give grades as directed.
I, of course, know the importance of the draft to the success of a team. I also know that the speculations of fans has zero impact on that degree of success. But, as I have mentioned before, some of y'all get a kick out of playing the guessing game. It's just not my cup of tea. With no prior expectations I am never disappointed with the draft. |
