I’m just saying if the team needs/wants to retain 4 or 5 players long term, then Lommis inc can figure out how to add a 6th.

Another thing I find interesting about this saga is that Rodgers and Love have the same agent I believe. That doesn’t sound fishy at all!

The cap hit in trade or release for virtually every top player on the roster is greater in dead cap than their 2021 pay.
Unfortunately, the contract situation absolutely precludes this from happening. And understand that this is coming from someone who hero worships the mighty Mickey Loomis. We can retain current players, but bringing a major contract in from the outside for the current season isn't doable. The league has even shut down trades recently which include the team giving up the player paying the current year's salary, so that wouldn't even work if Green Bay would even dream of doing that. It would probably take all our picks for the next two years to even try. |

Re: Aaron Rodgers ... Should we ?
Loomis would do some complex math using equations with imaginary roots plugged into 108 variable equations with every type of term imaginable (exponentials, logarithmic, roots, etc) terms whose integral just makes up one of the components of a giant elaborate formula he uses in multidimensional analysis. He will fit him under the cap to the penny. We can't comprehend Loomis' mind. Never say he can't do something. It's like saying an alien from another planet with a massive intellectual gap to even the smartest human on the planet cannot do something.

It works fine as long as the cap is rising. This year is a speed bump in the process. Execute this process on Lattimore, Ram, and Williams. It'll free up cap room. Renegotiate with Rodgers with a huge signing bonus, extra years, voidable on the end. SFIAH |

Re: Aaron Rodgers ... Should we ?
It would take multiple first rounds, Peat and TA. I would go as far to offer a hand job as well. We need him. When healthy he is by far the best in the league. 3 first rd picks would definitely be worth it. Picking at 32 every year anyway.
