Re: 2021 NFL MVP dark horses: Don't sleep on Justin Herbert, Carson Wentz, Jameis Winston
I won’t be too surprised if Winston has an MVP kind of year but usually MVP is awarded to a player on a team that will compete for a SB. I don’t think we have the pieces to be one of those teams even if Winston balls out. I could see him as Comeback Player of the Year but Prescott will be hard to beat as others have pointed out.

Re: 2021 NFL MVP dark horses: Don't sleep on Justin Herbert, Carson Wentz, Jameis Winston
Well, there is no right or wrong here. We all are hoping one of the Saints QBs steps up and has a fantastic year. That could be Winston, Hill, or Book based upon performance and injuries. As Saints fans we are all hoping for success at QB. Let’s say it happens and one of our QBs has a good/great year. I will ask these questions to us fans ; for who (whom?) are you pulling for
at QB, who is most likely to rise up, and does it matter which QB does? I will give my answers. 1) I’m pulling for Winston to excel at QB and win the job. 2) I think he is most likely to win the starting job. 3) It matters because Hill is so good as the jackknife player that if he was to become a Good QB, it would mean Winston becomes a backup again and the team loses a great running/catching threat out of the backfield. Just my thoughts since it’s down time Myself, |

Well, I’m hearing everyone and all have legit excitement or concern for Winston , but what I’ve learned from Hill is he doesn’t process the information of a read or progression fast enough to hit that receiver in that window, causing the line to collapse and he gets strip sacked ala philly game. He almost has to have a designed run to be successful in his role on this team. Hell if Winston fails in training camp I’ll pull for Swiss army but just don’t see it if Payton controls his asre from trying to make something out of nothing which was his failure and just check down like teddy we will be ok

Don’t drink the cool-aid. I won’t. In fact, if he is GIVEN the job, I predict he won’t keep it for six games. duh

Re: 2021 NFL MVP dark horses: Don't sleep on Justin Herbert, Carson Wentz, Jameis Winston
I honestly think his critics have more problems with Winston than does Winston himself. His only problems have been being on a very poor team with subpar coaching his entire career and then in his final year starting being in an offense that demanded taking chances downfield inviting interceptions. That final year he more than doubled his career average in interceptions to no surprise, yet was still second in the entire league in TD's and led the league in passing yards. All while being sacked one fewer time than the league leaders, Ryan, Wilson, and Murray.
