I think things went sideways last season for MT ... First the injury, then frustration over the healing timeline then last but not least attitude and behavior. SP called time out ... don't think MT ever got over it and knowing SP reputation ... rivers run deep.

Hard for me to believe that a professional athlete of MT stature would not realize is ankle was still not progressing on schedule and take the initative and responsibility to notify the team and physician of his ankle's status.

Can not say with certainty where the team was during this offseason decision making process. ML was very diplomatic on the issue in his presser, SP not so much. Could the concerns and opinions on the timing and recommendation for surgery been discussed by the staff, Doctor and MT but then the protocol not followed. Something didn't happen that should have happen ... SP's comments kinda point that direction.

Really wanting to see your proof. This could blow the roof off everything if you truly have a scoop!
Try as you might, you'll never get my source(s)...

Secondly, there was no follow up until the pre-camp eval, so there's your corroboration...

Smart football folks will never let a commodity devalue to far so as not to recoup compensation; you're close; and Payton and the Mickster will save Thomas from his own PR disaster of his making - youthful hubris...

No. You said he "blew off follow up appointment(s)" with the doctor that was personally monitoring his injury. My question is, unless you are involved in HIPPA compliance violations how would you know that there were scheduled appointments to "blow off". The fact that there was no follow-up until pre-camp corroborates nothing. Where is the proof of scheduled appointments being "blown off"?

Have to agree with looking for a trade partner. We are no longer a pass first team with drew gone and there is no reason to pay a wr 20 million a year.

I believe in Payton's offense we will continue to pass as much as the defense allows. Besides, we have a QB that lead the entire NFL in passing yards two years ago.
