this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; School/competition has very little to do with it. He’s extremely talented. Some players are simply injury prone. See Derwin James, Tyler Eifert and Clowney. Unfortunately for us, MD can’t seem to stay healthy....

Re: Marcus Davenport Pec Injury, Small School Gems, and Risk
I think it does have something to do with it. Say that you are recruiting a police officer with 4 years experience to join military special forces. No matter who you choose, they might not get hurt in action. But if your choice is between a member of the SWAT team who didn't get hurt in 4 years working on the SWAT team versus a mall cop who has amazing measureables in a workout, who do you think is more likely to get hurt out there? SEC vs UT San Antonio is SWAT team vs Mall Cop.
