In recent past, we've usually had LBers that had to sit for the remainder of the game, perhaps another week or so, before they regained that focus, confidence...

Baun was right back in there, swarming, slugging it out, keeping it close in the hopes that Jameis would eventually figure out how to read a blitz and make the hot read...
Yep, looked like he was benched, but thought Baun did a nice job of turning it around in the second half...

I was surprised it took so long to get Taysom involved, and that he wasn't involved more. Not so much as a QB but some more gadgety ways. As a matter of fact I'm surprised Sean didn't inject some razzle dazzle plays in the second half when Jamius obviously wasn't getting it done, an end arounds, flee flicker, something.

That’s a hard assignment for a guy in only his second start to do.

Re: Observations from the Saints' loss to Carolina

I'm late because I was traveling yesterday. I had to listen to the game on siriusXM. But nice to have that option, as WWL doesn't reach Georgia. I didn't understand why SP kept trying the same crap that wasn't working on offense. Seems like once it was clear that normal three step drop or handoff wasn't working, he should have thrown Taysom in there with some run/pass option to loosen up the defense.

Wouldn’t have mattered who was at QB. The play of offense line was offensive. Even the few plays Hill contributed with weren’t great. We couldn’t run and we couldn’t pass.

Defense did okay with having so many key starters out but they could have played a lot better as well.

I think being on the road for over three weeks is also starting to get to them.

Repeat

Winston's own words -
I have to take responsibility for communicating with the offensive line...Got to get us in better protections. Just communicate better out there.”

Taysom Hill had 2 RuAtt for 9 RuYds and 7 RuYds, so, if anything, Taysom should have gotten more touches earlier, and often...

Dan Campbell has Detroit up by a FG at the half at Green Bay; more schadenfreude of seeing Rodgers start 0-2, please...
