Vilma truly was a Field General, during the Vilma Era it was like having an extra Coach in the huddle.

I think we can thank Jeff Ireland for the fantastic job he does in college scouting. We’ve been hitting on multiple draft picks for a while. Before him we were very hit or miss

Mostly miss.

I want to give love to Paulson Adebo. Rookie is playing well and for someone who didn't play in 2020, to line up at one of the toughest positions in football and hold his own is great to see. I was shocked to see him starting over Roby, especially after the trade. Looks to be another 3rd round gem.

What are the chances Austin Reiter plays at center on Sunday and Ruiz back to guard until McCoy returns?

Deuce Windham did a film breakdown today and Ruiz is still having mental lapses & losing a lot of one on ones. Winston is having to take off running way too soon.

Late in the game last week, when no one was getting open, Winston wasn't getting a decent pocket, and when there was nothing to lose he threw some wild throws and got picks. I've actually been impressed by the restraint JW has showed. I was talking with a Bucs fan while watching the game yesterday that each time he took a sack versus throwing a wild throw that would probably have been a pick my heart grew little (like the Grinch).

This team is built to win by Defense and running game. JW just needs to pass when he HAS to. So far he pretty much has done so. With Thomas and Smith come back (or trade for random WR) the passing game will be better but I don't expect the overall philosophy will change

You don’t see it because you are looking at stats by your response, but then you prove my point with him ‘making wild throws causing picks’ instead of taking the sack and securing the ball.

Go back through my posts you’ll fine more than one when I defended Winstons 30 interceptions with the Bucs because advanced stats showed that most were tipped balls and I am generally of the mind that if a receiver can tip it they can catch it. But those were just numbers without video showing him under duress forcing passes, if Drew had thrown the pass in the below video on Sunday some of the very same people that clicked like on your reply would have said he was forcing it with a ‘take what they give you’ follow up.

If you are built to win by defense and run then you are also built for ball security no? If you aren’t built for an air game then wouldn’t that speak to someone that makes decisions also having concerns about the air game and ball security?

Another wild throw and jump ball and truth be known a lot of people said **ck when they saw this release because they felt what I am saying… like it or not. This is a lack of focus on ball security, your disagreement with it doesn’t change that. Jump balls are desperation throws and generally come at the end of 1/2s or when behind.

If nothing I’ve said makes sense then maybe hearing it from Winston himself might.. So wild of a throwaway it was a TD by the ‘hand of God’ LOL

After the game I heard a Pats fan in disgust say one of the funniest lines about a football play I’ve heard in a while:

“That’s the first time I’ve seen a Hail Mary completed from the friggin ten yard line!”

I cracked up. And while there is a sliver of truth there I’ll still say I see mostly positive things in his play so far. It’s far from perfect, or even Brees-like. But no way do I put the Carolina loss on his shoulders alone. At the pace he’s on he’ll have 39 TDs and 11 INTs and the team will have 12 or 13 wins. I’ll take that any season.

Clearly you didn't read my post or if you didn't understand it. He only had INT's in one game, and then only when it was already pretty hopeless. Our offense, particularly our OL was out of sync that game. As for the 'hand of god' play it was meant to be a throw away, meaning he threw it high away and was surprised it was caught, it didn't look to me like the DB had any chance to make the INT. I'm not reading stats, I'm watching games. Ironically your statement that our QBs "lack of focus on ball security" only makes sense if you focus on stats versus actually watching the games and realizing the game situations.
