Same reason we snatched up Will Lutz from the Ravens a few years ago. He's consistent, young, and accurate. If the Ravens still have you on their squad as a kicker, you must be legit. They just so happen to have a legend, J Tucker, in front of him.

Low-risk, high reward on Verity ... Unless you believe our offense is so good that we can't use his services

Lutz had a groin injury & those can & will linger.
