Re: Hendrickson
Indeed hindsight is 2020. I’m not arguing that. But when the team decides to take the risk of spending what is essentially three draft picks on one player then that player is open to more scrutiny than someone that is drafted with a single pic. That’s just my opinion of course. However I hear all this talk about the havoc davenport creates as justification for spending three picks on him. I just disagree with this. That’s my only point.

Re: Hendrickson
Good point. Let’s say we don’t Draft #92 and don’t give up those picks. We stay put and use what we got in that draft. Let’s say those picks ball out, do we have the money to keep CGM,AK, RAM, LATT and MWillams! Probably not. But since we’re using hypotheticals, let’s say Davenport comes back and terrorizes linemen, would that be enough. Would he have to break the sack record to justify the picks. Or using those picks on 3 scrubs that probably wouldn’t still be on the roster be enough to satisfy. I remember a guy named Malcolm Jenkins whom was drafted by the Saints. He was decent. During a playoff game against the 49ers, he stunk it up bad. People called him one of the worst 1st rd picks the Saints ever made. He couldn’t get out of town fast enough. He went on to become a 3x pro bowler and SB champion. The crazy thing, I was one of those nay sayers. I’m not giving up on Davenport just yet.

Re: Hendrickson
I can't blame Davenport for the team spending draft picks on him. It isn't like he was the GM who made the move. If I remember correctly it was two firsts and a fifth for a player with incredible potential that was usually healthy in college. Davenport gets better every year but he's not available way too often to make a reasonable determination about his future..
