Not too mention much better running skills. Praying for Taysom's brain injury though. I'd rather have Simeon play than rush Taysom into the lineup. Hopefully decision makers in this instance make the best long term decision.

Decent qb play is 14 TDs and 3 INTS. Idk what your idea of qb play is but it’s a lil off, chief. I got a question if Hill or Siemian screw up in a game, are you gonna call them out or rag on them like you did Jameis? Or is it my horse is now in so they can do no wrong? I’m just curious. I hope they do good cause they’re the starter now.

I guess so, AG. I mean he’s entitled to his own opinion and all that but if Jameis was out there like Tampa Jameis, I’d be the first to say get him outta here but he wasn’t. If he was as bad as he claims then Sean would of went to Taysom long ago. This narrative is strong around him for some reason but it’s like listening to ESPN with him, he is who he is and he can’t change. Like Rocky said in Rocky IV, everyone can change.

Re: Trevor Siemian

I googled Trevor Siemian and I believe in him from what I've read. My eyes told me he felt comfortable and he was connecting with his targets and looking crisp. He's been studying under Payton for a couple of seasons now and should have the play book down pat. I believe his record is 13-12 as a starter. He's played back up for the Broncos when they won the Super bowl I believe. He's seen some good coaching and then he spent time with teams like the jets who are not known for developing players in their programs.

With time spent with Drew, Payton and even Winston, Siemian could possibly manage this team to a playoff spot. He likely will be the back up because Taysom is the next man up with Payton. We will sorely miss Taysom's swiss army knife role if he's the starter.

Re: Trevor Siemian

I'm getting tired of some people's narrative that our Super Bowl hopes are dashed with Jameis out for the year and Brees retired. You don't need an in-prime Hall of Famer to win one. Foles, Flacco, over the hill Peyton Manning, Brad Johnson and Dilfer are proof of that. Guys like Neil O'Donnell, Stan Humphries and Delhomme can at least get you to the Super Bowl if things break right. Just give me a darn good team.

Agree. This guy could be our version of Jeff Hostetler when he took over for Phil Simms and won the Superbowl.

Re: Trevor Siemian

To be fair, Siemian never bombed in Denver. Never went full Peterman in a game from what I remember. He just regressed a little bit and Elway's attention span wandered to other QB options. That's better than a good amount of other QB's who got castoff and became backups elsewhere can say (Bortles comes to mind). Like Book, I don't think he will/would bust at QB and his floor is high. Glad we have them both.

Re: Trevor Siemian

From listening to interviews, it sounds like Trevor is a calming presence in the huddle and I think if he is the starter, the guys will rally around him.
Not saying they wouldn't for Taysom, but AK is virtually invisible when Taysom is at QB and that can't happen if we want to succeed. AK is our best player and he needs to be in spots to succeed, especially because of how the Thomas situation has bottomed out.

Re: Trevor Siemian

If Trevor gets the start I think you can expect Taysom to request a trade sooner than later.
