Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?

As much as it pains me we could use some receiver help this year. He is a diva, we know that. Two teams have decided his talent isn't worth the baggage.

Michael Thomas has shown his true character flaws after getting a payday. I said we should have traded after last year, but who am I? Good riddance to that self absorbed idiot.

Should we welcome another? Probably for one year.

But why? Seriously? Might as well keep Mike for another year (next year). Paying OBJ that much for half a season is ridiculous. Especially for what a dick he is.

I do agree...both are dickish. The only difference is OBJ is available, the dick we have already isn't. It will be difficult to get past 1st round without a receiver.

It will be difficult to MAKE the first round without a receiver.

He won't be picked during waivers. OBJ will be able to choose his destination. We'll see how he handles the $ offered. Saints can merely manage vet min with some backend trick NFL cap accounting.

I in no way understand the clamoring for this guy and the hate for MT. It doesn't compute.

OBJ is like an Aston Martin - can't afford it and not sure if I want it anyway.

Absolutely fake. OBJ hasn't been officially released yet. It'll happen Monday. It'll be Tuesday 4PM before anyone knows if he's been picked up off waivers. So, the earliest he can sign with anyone is Tuesday evening.

It's wishful thinking, nothing more.

MT is out for the season. Who's gonna catch the ball?

I thought we were gonna give Gilkin a shot. He catches the long snap. Lol.

I'm really not sure if I want him or not. To sign him they'll have to push more money to next year and they sit around $57ml over the estimated cap with Armstead,Winston, Hill,M.Williams,Harris all free agents. Even with him I'm not sure this team can get past the big hitters in the NFC in a shootout. Just not enough weapons.

Beckham is willing to make life difficult for his next team if he ends up somewhere he doesn’t want to be.
Supposedly he wants to go to Seattle..

Sounds like a super good guy. Lol. Golly, I sure hope we find a way to sign that douchebag. lmao!!!

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?

I wasn't for OBJ until yesterday's game.

Now I'm all in. Otherwise, yesterday is what our offense looks like for the remainder of 2021.

I remember when Randy Moss was a "cancer". Until he landed with a solid organization and BOOM - he blew up! Same can happen here.

Just imagine the effect ingram, AK, Cam Jordan, KWON would have on OBJ.... I hope it happens.

Besides, think about OBJ, MT13 with a bad ass QB next season!

I'm still on team No-dell. I don't care how many passes our dudes drop. That boy got the Madden curse on him and an attitude to go with it.

It's been said of others only to proven wrong when in the right system. Have faith, brother. We can be the one.

This comment was directed from a character point of view. OBJ has been called a cancer by both teams he's played for. He's the epitome of a "Me" type of player. Thomas has been nowhere near the headache OBJ has. I haven't seen any clarification that MT's situation has only been completely on him.....just those speculating here. They definitely rushed him back last season which caused more problems with a pretty serious injury that takes quite some time to heal. We've seen in the past that the Saints med staff have dropped the ball before.

I'll bet there are just as many players who see OBJ as a great teammate.

The team literally suspended MT last season. He’s a head case. We can handle OBJ just fine.

Why didn't SP pounce on Antonio Brown then?

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?

We have nothing to lose honestly, Matt Moscona makes sense.
But in all reality OBJ will be passed by in waivers and become a FA.
The odd thing OBJ says he wants to join a contender team
and then says he wants Seattle or San Francisco both teams are 3-5. So the drama continues..

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?

Yesterday was a bit of an abberation. We would have been fine and been dominant running the ball if not for the super-untimely penalties killing drives. The team will go as far as the running of 14 and 41 (and hopefully 7 once he's back to his old self) can take us. OBJ isn't worth the risk or expense.

LOL. For a game. MT is nowhere near the head case OBJ has been.

Where are you hearing that? I haven't heard anything about that on NFL Radio or on Twitter ... unless I totally missed it.

They said it Sunday Night that Seattle was his preferred destination. It was right before the night game. Broke my heart.

Okay, that's what HE said HE wanted. So not really anything about the Seahawks wanting him.
