They are currently 3-5, getting their star QB back and need all the extra weapons they can get in a very tough division. |

Another receiver is not what they need. They need a offensive line and defense. Adding Odell is liking putting lipstick on a pig for Seattle. |

The Browns waive Odell. The Browns waive Odell. Hi ho the dairie o the Browns waive Odell ...

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
I don’t see why he would even want to come here when Green Bay and others are strong favorites to make it to the SB. There’s really nothing in it for him. Do you think he would rather have Rodgers/Wilson throwing to him or a 3rd string Qb and utility player.
I guess he would get his wish of getting 99.9% of the balls thrown at him. |
Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
I am not sure if we make sense for Odell after the Winston injury. He could have several possible objectives: chase a ring this year, earn a high salary this year, rack up stats to earn a high salary next year, or find a long term home to sign a long term contract in a stable productive environment.
For chasing a ring, we are a contender, but a marginal one. For earning a high salary this year, we have among the least in cap flexibility. We could always create cap flexibility, but as a marginal contender without a good QB situation I think it would be questionable to mortgage the future to win now. To rack up stats this year to maximize his value on the open market this season, he would clearly be option 1A in our receiving core, but with our questionable quarterbacking situation, he might not have the ideal QB to throw him the ball. This would have worked a lot better if Jameis was still around or we signed Rivers. To find a long term home, we are way over the cap for next year, have questions at QB, and tons of home grown talent entering free agency. So unless OBJ has limited interest or just wants to play for his home team, I fear we are not the best option. For us, I think he would make sense if he will play cheap. Our record is too good to tank the season probably. I doubt we can contend for a championship with out QB issues and inconsistency, but if the defense catches fire you never know. |

This feels like the Bachelor albeit a very strange rose ceremony.

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
He will go to Kansas or Green Bay
|
Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
Maybe he would go to Baltimore. Good QB, definite contender, questionable other receivers. Hollywood Brown might be a #3 on some teams, he is clearly ok but not a star and just gets a lot of passes because they dont have anyone else.

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
I’m afraid we’re going to see a repercussion of not having Brees anymore. Free agents wanted to come to the Saints because of #9.

I'm thinking that may have gone out the window when Brees left and parked his caboose in the Box. |
Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
Maybe our advantage could be that we don't have a high profile ego maniac QB driving the Bus.
A player like OBJ likes the spotlight on who else but himself. Cocky Mahommes, Arrogant Aaron, Tom Terrific to name a few soak up most of the media attention. Don't think that will be a problem with Trevor (what did you say his name was) Siemian |

Titans WR Josh Reynolds Granted Release
November 9th, 2021 at 4:37pm CST by Ben Levine Another wideout is set to hit the waiver wire. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports (via Twitter) that the Titans have cut wideout Josh Reynolds. The player asked for (and was granted) his release. Following a career year in 2020, Reynolds joined the Titans on a one-year deal in March. However, his signing came before the team traded for Julio Jones, and Reynolds was buried on the depth chart by the start of the season. The 26-year-old has only seen time in five games this season, hauling in 10 receptions for 90 yards. He only saw five offensive snaps in Week 8 before not playing in Week 9. |

Wouldn't hurt to have a new face @ WR. Trevor needs help @ WR. We need guys who are going to fight for these passes. Probably won't reach us through waivers though. I'm kinda over the "shiny object" (Odell) syndrome. |

Anticipation...
Bleacher Report "Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is "going to take some time" on deciding his new team, and that call could be "a few days away." That's per Kim Jones and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, who reported the news Wednesday. November 10 |
