this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If OBJ was strictly a vet minimum player I'd say sure he's worth the risk and if he causes issues then he's gone without any financial harm for the Saints. Committing any real money to this guy scares me though ...

Re: OBJ to Saints... anyway?
If OBJ was strictly a vet minimum player I'd say sure he's worth the risk and if he causes issues then he's gone without any financial harm for the Saints. Committing any real money to this guy scares me though - unless OBJ (and his dad) suddenly grow up and become team players.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I think this guy is too much risk for the reward. I could be wrong. I just wish he wasn't so douchy. |

Who exactly do you have in mind this late in the season? Do we hope that these receivers get better with Trevor at the helm? Titans, Cowboys, Buffalo, Bucs 2.0 are real problems & we need all the extra ammo we can get against those teams. As for Odell goes, I think people on the outside looking in have no idea how strong the locker room & culture is in New Orleans. Ask Emmanuel Sanders, Trey Hendrickson, or Jack Rabbit. If we are lucky enough (I don't think we will though) to land OBJ, the first sign of nonsense he'd be on the first train smoking. I graduated from LSU but could care less where he went to college. We need ballers at WR in the worst way. |

Look, if he signs, I won't *****. I hope he plays well and gets his head straight. But dude, if he starts his BS and is a complete distraction, starts trashing player or coaches, does his little flip flop temper tantrums, I hope he's shown the door. Quickly. I hate players like that. Especially on my beloved team. |
