Observations From The Saints' Win vs Bucs

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Defense wins championships. It feels as if we've turned the corner. Nobody will want to play us down the stretch. Tampon fans and Tommie will cry injuries ... but so do we, IMHO worse than theirs. Kicking game is back. ...

Kicking game is back. Blake Gillikin is the real deal.

Re: Observations From The Saints' Win vs Bucs

Listened to ESPN on my way in this morning. They were quick to point out that Brady is now 0-4 against the Saints in the regular season.

They also said that he should be able to get points on the board no matter who he has to throw to. Kind of surprised to hear them call him out like that. They said if you're the GOAT, you should be able to work with what you have.

-Thats why they paid Hill.
-Jordan, Davenport and Ceedy.
-Defense Tua the SAME way. He likes to get the ball off on time and in rhythm. Hit him. Move him off his spot.
-That's what we wanted from Callaway all year.
-Onyemata with a good showing.
-A kicker hitting all his kicks.
-Creating turnovers.
-Trautman and Vannett have to catch the dang ball.
-All in front of them.

That game was more fun than all of Deshaun Watson's massages combined.

Brady is a baby. You know, we never saw Drew throw stuff or scream and yell at refs.

Brady does it. Manning did it. Rogers does it.

It was fun watching him get angry. lol

Re: Observations From The Saints' Win vs Bucs

Taysom needs to figure out how to lead a receiver.

TE's gotta use their bodies and length to get those tight window passes.

Coaches have to help our fill-in tackles and guards how to figure out who to block, especially on sweeps.

Rather than just run Taysom right or left, how about an rpo or rro to keep the d honest? Does his hand have enough grip strength to execute?

TH's reads were mostly good - you could see him go through the progression tree, but that near pick at the end almost killed me how bad a decision that was.

We didn't get much help from the refs, but didn't get harmed either. This looked like a fairly officiated match, all things considered. Though gotta say, our wrs can't get separation like other mediocre wrs in the league, something seems a bit fishy.

Wonder what Brady said to Allen. What a chump.

I didn’t watch it, but after years of wasting great offense with bad defense it’s crazy how the tables have turned and we’re going to waste some great defensive play.
