this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We have a future QB with Winston hopefully returning. Siemian needs to be kicked to the curb and Taysom served his purpose keeping us alive. Definitely not starter material moving forward....

Re: Season Wrapup
Hopefully re sign Jameis, secure a better vet GUARD, WR (Free agency) and the go get another stud WR in the draft. At pick #17, a stud WILL be there.
If JW signs elsewhere, I’d have Jimmy G, Carr and maybe Marriota as Plan B. I’m looking forward to seeing what moves are made this off season. |

I'm interested for sure to see what happens at QB. It's got to be Winston's job at this red-hot moment tho... |

Re: Season Wrapup
We really can't lose Marcus Williams. He's the backbone of the defense. He allows us to do what we do up front because he's so good on the back end. I wouldn't sell the farm for him but I definitely wouldn't be afraid to pay him. There have been so many times where we've spent a tremendous amount of money on free agents coming in, expected so much out of them, and they bust so hard. We know Marcus Williams isn't going to fail us and that he fits with what we do.

Re: Season Wrapup
We have to sign one of the Williams…if we can’t get Marcus then we have to resign PJ. I hope we can get both back and save some money by letting Jenkins go.
Everyone forgets that Jameis played with the same players as Hill and was flat out the better QB. Our offense is better with Hill playing his Swiss Army knife role. |

Re: Season Wrapup
I wish to say, as a life long/ franchise Long fan I am as proud of this team than any I can remember, including 09. The closest rivals would be (of course) ‘09, ‘06, ‘00, ‘91, and Oh god yes (was it?) ‘79 when we finally made it to 500! This team just kept slugging it out over unbelievable circumstances yet we still hovered round 500 all year, and made it over the 500 mark. (This is the first year I ever remember with an odd number of games, am i wrong?) I remember when 500 was a feat! Well done Saints! See you next year. Saints 17-0 in ‘23!
