Expecting? You have a new HC, will have a new DC which means the offense and defense will change. Outside of the draft you have no draw for free agent QBs or WRs...

You are fantasizing about visiting last years beach home again and the wrecking ball has already left. The ONLY option you have is to continue to rebuild.

First of all, Dennis Allen has already said he's planning on being very hands on with the defense and said in his press conference that could likely include playcalling on gameday. As a head coach he said he's going to use the foundation we have in place and using his 10+ years experience in the Saints culture built by Payton to continue with many of the same principles with his personal twist. I expect very little if any change to the defense and just adding Thomas and the four starting linemen that missed so much time to injury will be an upgrade from last season.

Every team in the league usually adds a few pieces at minimum every off-season. That does not make it a "rebuild". The rebuild that some are proposing involves clearing out and starting over. As for free agent QB's and WR's, why isn't there a draw?

Are you really going to troll people AGAIN on this subject?

EVERYBODY here knows you're a fanboy. WE KNOW. Arguing with us about it is a waste of everyone's time and ONLY goes to serve your oversized ego.

Understand? Maybe you need Mr Rogers or Big Bird to explain it to you? Let me see what I can find on the subject of keeping your mouth shut...

He said…. he said…. He said…. WTF did you expect him to say? Lol

You are like a 13yo girl hanging on to every word from Justin Bieber.
Dennis Allen is performing damage control.

No one is expecting players to be cleared out because unlike yourself they understand the association of dead money with contracts.

I have a very good understanding of dead money and everything else to do with contracts and caps, Oak. It's exactly because of that understanding that I have been saying all along that clearing out players isn't at all logical. I'm not sure where you missed the boat on that front. Plenty of people, both here and on the web, have been incorrectly assuming that would be the course of action. They are not understanding that $88 million can be easily converted from base salary and roster bonuses off the 2022 cap numbers. And that's not counting some basic extensions that can get us around $30 million under the current projected cap number without moving a single player.

In some ways we are saying the same thing.

I think you're giving him too much credit. I don't think he's moved on the Sesame street...

Speaking of “trade talk”, what are the chances the Saints make a call on Gardner Minshew? Dougie/Jags connection.

For whatever reason I thought Minshew was an older player. He’s on 25 😀 ?!

With a new HC, it’s hard to say what direction they go at QB. Winston, Bridgewater, Carr, Minshew perhaps?

I’m probably just reaching here …

Minshew is fun to watch, I'll give him that.

K - you're not reaching at all IMO. He'd be fun to watch if nothing else.

Given a choice between bringing back Winston and going with a Minshew where would you stand? No question for me.
