Now this would be interesting. Jay Gruden. And Carmichael is not out for sure.

Jay Gruden runs that West Coast offense we like but I’m not a fan.

Was thinking the same. Idk what he's really done.

On a side note...why are we looking for an OC anyway? Has anyone figured out what Carmichael is doing???

Yup. That's the way I feel, too. It's likely due diligence.

Is it me or is the coordinator search taking longer than it should?

Alternate Theory: Carmichael ends up being the OC, Saints are doing same thing they did in the HC Search, see if there's anything better than the in-house option...

I hope the Saints give Scottie Montgomery serious consideration before they make their decision at OC.

I understand he's an expert in RPO's (see RB JTaylor) & was very successful with that up in Indy. His background is coaching WRs, RB & QB's. Based on the Colts forum, they'd hate to lose him as a coach.

We have Dougie M on staff (experienced coach), however I think it would be a PLUS to mix in a new, young innovative coach with fresh ideas.

Change would be good for this Saints offense.
