Year after year they rot near the bottom of the standings. The culture there is toxic.

Honestly, tanking is a fan concept. It's something true competitors would never consider. Personally, I want nothing but true competitors connected with the team that I love.

Totally agree. As a Lakers fan we had a few tanking years in the 2010's, and even after a championship, a bit of that spectre still looms.

I just watched the "Battered Bastards of Baseball" documentary this morning. If you need proof that playing hard and having your heart in the game matters, for both the players and the fans, that's your proof.

Yup. The NBA is the only major team sport where tanking has been obvious with the players even involved. Thus the whole reason for the NBA draft lottery. Administrative tanking does happen in major league baseball with player selloffs, but even then the players and coaches do everything within their abilities to win. Their individual careers are impacted.

Yeah, I'm against it as well. My point was that I'd like to see Arch in a Saints' jersey, and I would be ok with pretty much any move that allows it to happen.

Granted, this notion might be a stupid one and he might not even turn out to be a good pro athlete, but how great would it be to have another Manning as a franchise QB?!

Lots of teams tank. It happens every year. It's not a fan concept, it's a strategy, and "tanking", as fanboys like you call it, has been the foundation for many a championship run.
