saintsfan suggested that I block him since he was unwilling to listen to the feelings and opinions from the rest of the board has on this matter. I've only had to read this BS when someone else quotes him. I'm very glad that I blocked him even though I liked what he has to say when he's not attacking Guido. Now the only time I have to listen to his hate speech is when someone else quotes him. Unfortunately, he's on a mission and would rather spoil everbody else's day so he can be spiteful. That's a shame.

EDIT: Guido can be a know it all but he shares a lot of useful information that I enjoy. I agree that he really could tone down being as argumentative. He respects other people's opinion even though his own opinion is right and he will make his case. Sometimes, I agree, that he can be a bit of a bully and could work on his people skills. Couldn't we all?

So I've noticed a common thread in the posts coming from people who disagree with saintfan's actions. The way you each describe how his posts affect you are the same feelings that sooooooo many of us have felt about Guido for a really long time. Imagine putting up with this bs for years, cause that's what we've been doing. I appreciate the olive branch you extend to those of us who are fed up with Guido in your last paragraph, but your assessment of his behavior and the effect it has on the forum falls woefully short of hitting the mark. Speaking strictly in terms of this site, he is cancer. I'm not suggesting the man is entirely lacking any redeeming qualities in real life, I don't know him personally and couldn't say one way or another for certain. But I can say with all conviction that he brings no value to this place. Any value he attempts to bring is so vastly outweighed by the negativity that comes along with his presence that it becomes pointless to consider. You all greatly underestimate how sick of Guido so many of us are. I've witnessed dozens of people attempt to reason with him, I tried many times myself. There was a period of time when I thought perhaps I'd just judged him too harshly. I eased off on being so critical of him and even found that there were a few things we could agree on. But in the last few years it's gotten a lot worse. I blocked him well over a year ago, but he gets quoted so often (usually because he's stirring s**t with someone) that it almost doesn't matter. I don't know if it's because he just posts more often, therefore exponentially multiplying the opportunity to be cancerous, or if his attitude has just gotten that much worse..probably a bit of both is my guess. Regardless, he looms as a dark cloud over every thread and discussion, and he's been doing it for years.

So, forgive the rest of us if we seem like we don't care about how all this is making you feel, I get that it's unpleasant. But I kinda feel like it's the same way many of you have behaved towards those of us who are tired of putting up with this guy. You shrug off the fact that he has caused people to stop coming here, ignore the countless instances where he's hostile towards people for the crime of having an opinion. I can deal with a know it all, he is far worse than a know it all.

Keep fighting the good fight saintfan, you know you've got a lot of us in your corner.
