Yes, what he did was stupid, as was hanging around his "posse" which probably exacerbated the situation. But, I know I did stupid stuff at that young age. I'll bet many of us did. I will withhold a blanket loss of respect until I see how he responds moving forward.

A fine isn't supposed to do good. It's an additional penalty.

Alvin Kamara is 27 (not exactly a kid) and also one of the most recognizable NFL players and admired by children everywhere.

Stop making excuses for this type of behavior. It's wrong and he's lucky the guy didn't die.

According to the CBA the surrendered game checks are the fine. For example, DeAndre Hopkins "fine" for PED's this season amounts to $5,233,333.50.

And I'm not making any excuses. What the four of them did was wrong. They should have ignored the guy. They will get the punishment they deserve eventually. I believe in second chances. Kamara had a clear record prior to this episode. There's no reason to believe he won't continue as a model citizen from this point on.

John 8:7 - "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. On the other hand, my first martial arts instructor told me to never let an opponent up off the ground because when they do get up they'll be even madder. There has to be a middle ground somewhere. People have to understand that there are consequences. Whether it was the thug hassling Kamara or Kamara learning not to lose his temper.

I believe the "thug", as you put it, got exactly what he wanted. He surely knew who Kamara was and the provocation was there. The guy took to social media immediately setting the groundwork for a payoff. The "victim", Darnell “SquirtBuck” Greene, supposedly called one of the guys ugly and then said, "I'll whoop your ass too."

Once again, Kamara should have just ignored the guy.

I couldn't help but notice that someone is making excuses for idiotic behavior (not surprising). Turning the cheek or making excuses for that type of behavior by anyone is what is wrong with this country. People need to be held accountable. AK is a grown man, not a "kid." I'm sure he and all his friends felt empowered and badass while they kicked and stomped a guy that was on the ground defenseless. Way to represent.

The guy was obviously a POS anyway. But AK should be better than that.

Lack of due process is also what is wrong with the country. So is the fishing for payola.

Chalking this up to "being a kid" or "a mistake" is precisely making an excuse.

Don't quote scripture at me Guido. Like you're morally superior... That's just about the most condescending you could possibly be. Get over yourself.
