What is it that you feel he needs to do to make it up to you? As long as the team and his teammates are cool now what does it matter what a few fans think about it? I'm sure what happened peeved some fans like you and others. As long as he comes back and balls out what else does he need to do? Would that "make up for it" for you?

I'll bet the vast majority of fans think the same way. It's natural.

You can answer the question, perhaps. What does he have to do to "make up for it"? My answer would be to go out there and kick tail on the field. Of course, he can't do that until the season actually starts.

You know the old saying, "winning is the best deodorant".

The only answer is to be if not the best, then a top 5 WR in football again.

I can’t understand why anyone would have a problem with anyone that has a problem with what Thomas did. Doesn’t mean anyone is rooting against him. Doesn’t mean he couldn’t do very well for the team in the future. Doesn’t mean people aren’t hoping he does well for the Saints in the future.

But anyone questioning why some fans don’t appreciate how one of the highest paid WRs in the league reportedly acted and how it potentially impacted a team that missed the playoffs by 1/2 a game is just being argumentative. As far as him “making up” how about let’s start with getting back on the field and let’s go from there.

I think especially knowing how hard this franchise has worked to build a strong locker room culture - we get even more pissed when something like this happens.

Most of us here played team sports and we at lest know how it would've affected our perceptions of a teammate.

You don't have to try, you're natural born, or maybe your parents failed you...well, they definitely failed you. You probably passed it on to your kid.

If it doesn't matter what fans think, then why is there an entire industry called sports reporting? So other teams can follow your re-tweets to know what's going on around the league?

You are neither the judge nor the jury little man, you're just that, a little man with no opinion of his own who likes to use the internet to validate his ego. AKA:

"Ghosting the training staff and coach about an injury and costing yourself a season on the IR is something else." We were 1 win away from a playoff spot, the defense was healthy and really clicking, the O-line healthy... we could have done some damage. Having MT on the field at any point probably gives us that win or more.

As long as he comes back and balls out what else does he need to do? Would that "make up for it" for you?
Yeah, and be a good teammate without distractions.

I didn't care for the way Thomas was acting(diva/entitled) or the way he handled his injury with the way everything went down in the least and now he's tweeting or whatever he's doing to save face. Well, it's a humbling experience when you get hurt, mentally and physically, kind of brings one back to reality and maybe this was exactly what he needed to grow up. The guy has God given talent and has the ability to be one of the best to play the game as long as he keeps his head in the right place and for his sake and the Saints sake I hope he's learned from all this and comes back with a better outlook on things and does well here. He gets a pass from me unless he learned nothing from all this and time will tell.

Based on these 2019 stats, I'd say "slant man" is highly overrated. I don't know what other WR in the league is a more automatic 8 yards than MT. Maybe Devante Adams, Kupp perhaps?

It will be interesting to see how Mike is utilized in the offense with a QB that has a "stronger", more "lively" arm than Brees.

Hopefully it frees him up even more with a true down field threat at QB. Makes him even that much more dangerous.

Hopefully? No. It will. Because that's football. Maybe you should play some Madden and see how it works...

Your jib wouldn't pay you if you got injured on the job by one of your co-workers and then they pleaded with you to comeback to help meet their quota before while still injured?....You need to find a career change ASAP.

If I had a job where I got into a physical altercation with a coworker,
then got hurt and then did not keep in touch with my employer about the status of my health resulting in extended time missed, then I would not expect a warm reception from my employer when I returned.

Lls that didn't have anything to do with messing his ankle up week 1. Physical altercations happen all the time between teammates not sure if you are aware. Just think some you guys get butt hurt over players when they don't act according to your standards and that is weird.

You arent a top flight wr in the NFL, so that opinion doesn't really hold any merit.

Neither does yours or anyone else’s here if you go by those standards as no one on here is a top flight player in the NFL I’m guessing.

Um...Bosty....hello? I'm not a top flight player in the NFL, but I tooootally could be if I wanted to. Once I ate a 30 piece chicken nugget from Chick-fil-a and 2 large fries. And I'm also super awesome. just an fyi.

Please remind me of the last Saint player besides Thomas suspended for fighting with a teammate since you say it happens all the time. And I never said the fight was related to his ankle injury, but it is part of a pattern that emerged. Some of you are just butt hurt that some people aren’t kissing his ass anymore since he started acting like he tool.

Lets say it turns out Kamara is guilty of assault and he jumped that guy as it appears he may have and he goes to jail and misses games. Is it Ok with you if some people are upset at him? Or will they just be “butt hurt”.

Why? He's simply replying to your comment that his opinion doesn't hold merit because he's not a top tier NFL player. Simply put, he's saying if that's how it is, then neither does yours because you aren't either.

It's fine for people to have a different opinion. There's nothing wrong with that.

Oh I whole heartedly agree there's nothing wrong with others having a different opinion. But it's apparent some around here obviously can't handle others being critical of their opinion. I've experienced it numerous times, and been PMed about how terrible I am and should be banned. Lot of thin skin around these parts.

Still, he missed the point of my post, and I guess you did to. Let the whining continue.

If a lot of people don't get your point it's your job to be clearer not ours to read your mind. I get your point but the way phrased comes off as condescending and dismissive. You say thin skin, maybe, but it also looks like a lack of civility that frankly shouldn't be on a classy Saints fans board. My $0.02. You do what you guys want.
