I really hope Thomas is healthy, ready to go, and kicks butt this year. That being said, some things Loomis said give me concern. Specifically...

“ His progress hopefully is going well, and the reports are that it's been going well. ”

Now, when the GM uses the terms “hopefully” and “reports are” it sounds like it could be dicey. Is there doubt because there is a lack of communication again? Or is this just the simple caution that goes along with the rehab of any injury? Hopefully it is the latter. I realize there are differences in the two players’ situations, yet it’s hard to not be curious when one compares the updates and videos of the progress we see Winston making with the lack of info out there about Thomas’ injury. Just an observation.

Reports like this is why I continue to beat the drum on drafting a WR in Rd1.

Even when Mike returns, we really just don't know he'll perform post surgery. Ankle injuries are super tricky.

I agree. Compounding the Problem is the team is currently facing going into the season with no true starting WR in Thomas isn’t ready, no true starting RB with Kamara’s situation and no true starting TE with the Fish’s progression so far. I could see taking high picks on any of those spots TBH. If Alabama’s RB slips to the second round I’d consider grabbing him.

I don't care what happens with MT. I just want a quality WR that can be a playmaker when he eventually gets traded or not resigned.

Same with QB. I'd like to see a plan for the future. Not some washed up FA or back up.

Start putting the future together like Cincinnati did.

I know some analysts came away with meh at his combine but when I turn on his tape at Arkansas/SEC, I see a guy separating, getting open and making plays, subsequent 6.

I'd love to have Treylon @ WR.

You think the Saints are going to pay him 11.8ml dead money to save under 1.2ml in cap with a June 1st trade to make that happen

If a big trade is happening its next year. Only way Thomas gets traded this year is some stupid offer of multiple picks or picks and players on rookie deals.

Next summer they'll trade players though.

This is a very good question. He apparently has me blocked too and likes bragging about it. Now I don’t consider myself an abusive member of this site. I Can’t understand why guido takes pride in pointing out he doesn’t listen to my posts. I’ve tried to figure it out but he apparently would rather point out proudly the people he doesn’t want to hear from rather than engage in a dialogue with those people. Seems rather close minded to me. But to each their own.

Oh, and tell saintfan he is doing an excellent job of dividing the board all by his lonesome. And while a member of several team forums across the league I haven't regularly posted on any in ages. Some in several years. This is the only forum on which I am reasonably active in any manner. I guess part of saintfan's sad little obsession with me includes searching for AsylumGuido instances elsewhere. It's very easy to find.
