Re: Deshaun Watson to Saints?
I think the Watson to ATL is a done deal. Matt Ryan pushing his roster bonus until Tuesday gives him and another team time to explore a trade destination. We need to move on.....

Dennis Allen with a hell of a start to his tenure… Whiff on Deshaun Watson and alienate the players who were included in the potential trade.

Try this, put your self in his shoes. 26yo, single, not only are you making a decision that a potential $100MM future implication but you are gifted with something that is very rare in this league especially at his age. When was the last time a QB under 30 had the fortune of being able to decide where he goes? QB of his caliber are generally long term at the team they were drafted by, franchise tagged, or traded without much choice. If I were his friend id say '***K the fans, take the time to make the right decision for you'. Now, if he is out getting a massage and not really pining on the decision then screw him. |

Re: Deshaun Watson to Saints?
To Chris's point about losing the locker-room. It is one thing to get pulled into a trade and have to change teams; it is a whole different level of azz-hurt when you are Matt Ryan the franchise QB that your team just went all in to replace you with 2 years left on your contract. Franchise QBs aren't treated that way they generally play it out and find a team for the sunset years.

Re: Deshaun Watson to Saints?
I think the Colts would be an awesome fit for Matt Ryan. Only problem is they just gave up draft assets last year for a QB that didn’t work out. I don’t know if they’d do it again.

Re: Deshaun Watson to Saints?
I'm with you on that lol! Honestly I can see Ryan going to the Colts. They are looking for a Vet at QB. Ryan telling the Falcons sure hold my 7 million for a few days just made me think this is a done deal. Hopefully I'm wrong.
