If he doesn't make his decision today, Jameis needs to have a new contract tomorrow.
I honestly do not blame him. He has until April 22nd to decide. That comes with the risk of having clubs grow impatient and retracting their offers to go in a different direction.

When agreements drag out it is generally because of contractual terms. Watson and his agent are 'probably' looking at an offer from New Orleans and Atlanta with different guarantees and similar but different Ts&Cs regarding conduct. Watson's Houston contract is only relevant for 24hours then the destination team can restructure it so I am sure Watson and his agent are also looking at what the restructure from each team looks like.

As far as Jameis Winston, he has had an offer from New Orleans from earlier in the off-season, him not being a Saint is on him. He is gambling that the Watson thing falls through and New Orleans panics and gives him a better deal.

Yeah, I get it... I understand that its a huge decision and he and his agent need to figure out what makes sense for them. And, maybe if it wasn't between us and ATL, it would be less nerve-wracking... But, come on... I still want him to come here, but most of all, I just wanna know one way or the other, so we can focus on other things.

I have zero patience so I can understand your frustration .

Try this, put your self in his shoes. 26yo, single, not only are you making a decision that a potential $100MM future implication but you are gifted with something that is very rare in this league especially at his age.

When was the last time a QB under 30 had the fortune of being able to decide where he goes? QB of his caliber are generally long term at the team they were drafted by, franchise tagged, or traded without much choice. If I were his friend id say '***K the fans, take the time to make the right decision for you'.

Now, if he is out getting a massage and not really pining on the decision then screw him.

The only thing worse than being a Saints fan right now and waiting for this decision, is being a Falcons fan, because their team already sucks. XD

To Chris's point about losing the locker-room. It is one thing to get pulled into a trade and have to change teams; it is a whole different level of azz-hurt when you are Matt Ryan the franchise QB that your team just went all in to replace you with 2 years left on your contract. Franchise QBs aren't treated that way they generally play it out and find a team for the sunset years.
