General question : Is there a cost to opening new threads?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I get what you are saying. Sometimes I miss a good signing because it gets buried in a mega thread. I’ll have to sift back through pages and pages to see what’s going on....

I'd like to see how the rookies will progress this year and if they can be impact starters. The way I see it Turner could eventually replace Davenport, who has progressed nicely, but misses far too much playing time. Turner looked good in limited play but was injured early on. Sound familiar?

Does Turner have the potential to take over for an aging Cam in a couple of years or slide in for Davenport if we can't afford to keep him next year? Turner is raw like Davenport and may need as much time to develop. Although, I most certainly hope not.

Kwon Alexander is great to pair with Demario Davis, but he also has an extensive injury history and might get some great offers reflecting his play the last couple of years with the Saints. I hope he's back because we are dynamic at LB'er when these two are together. If not, we drafted Werner last year who played surprisingly good football in his limited playing time in relief for Kwon.

We also have Adebo who surprised everybody by filling in admirably at # 2 CB. We kept Roby and Lattimore so that position is a strength right now.

Special mention: I hope this wasn't a thread jack which I don't care for.

I have tried to start a few threads but two or three responses is just embarrassing. Lol There are thread masters here on the bng that I highly respect.

I am the wrong person to ask. I have no clue what he posts and haven't for quite some time.

I'm not sure I understand this response. Is this to ridicule my post? Honestly curious, I didn't think I slammed anyone...

My apologies Gnome. I have had a few strokes recently and it's getting tougher to make good decisions. The only cost to open a new thread for me is looking at only one or two responses and being slightly embarrassed. Ha!
