For the record, Alontae Taylor is a good player. Not a top 50 prospect, but it’s not a terrible pick.

But you are entitled to your opinion. I’m just a couch GM

So, your opinion is just different from mine and I hope both opinions work out! I’m just thinking filling a need with crap gives you nothing but crap! Yeah, those QB’s might not be rated in the top 10, but a helluva lot better then what may be available next year!

and yes, I’m back!!!😊

Coach Dennis want CONTRIBUTORS early on.

I don’t think he’s remotely interested in any of these remaining QBs.

Some fans are just gonna have to accept it.

Mebbe this means honey badger is signing with us. Is Taylor safety material ... Or a tweeter?

I agree that this pick was a reach no doubt. I wanted McBride. But they should have a few franchise qb’s in next years draft coupled with the compensation we'll get when Payton comes back. We can trade up to get one if need be. And welcome back! 👍

Very smart and versatile player. We’ll have to see what Dennis Allen says tonight about the pick, but I think safety is the vision.

Meanwhile GB picks Christian Watson at 34. Aaron Rodgers is happy now.

One more quick thing about the Alontae Taylor pick: with our head coach being a former DB coach and having Kris Richard in the mix… I’m inclined to trust their judgement on the player.

I wouldn’t call them below avg. all need work and would sit behind JW for a trade or Two anyway. Let them sit and learn since we mortgaged the farm for a 2nd rd 1 pick.

That’s what many don’t see.

The Saints know how to evaluate and identify DB’s.

Even if he only contributes to special teams in year 1, that’s huge. Not to mention he is versatile (CB/safety) & fast (4.36).

Alontea might be a baller :bng:
