Who cares Olave doesn't equal SB. ANY of those WRs taken in the first would have just fine.

Fine for who? Perhaps for you, but apparently not for them. They put far more hours into this process than any of us. I trust they have a better idea of what is best for them than any of us.

We will see. Obviously the Saints didn’t see it that way. I’m not a big fan of the way they have historically traded up. I am on record saying the Davenport pick was a mistake (pick not the player). However, in this case, after an early run of Defensive players drafted, the picks were all OTs or WRs. I’m guessing the team had high grades on 2 or 3 of each. Once those started to dwindle they secured what they wanted. I hope it works out. Don’t you?

Do I hope the Saints giving up the 3rd n 4thrnd picks missing out some sleeper prospects and potential impact players doesn't bite them in the ass YES I DO. Do I think Chris will be a good player? YES I DO.? Do I think Chr8s Olave was worth what we loss in relation to what we needed ? No I DONT.

Fair enough, but you are covering all your bases there. I’m saying if Olave succeeds with the Saints then the extra picks were worth it. You are saying if he succeeds then any other WR would succeed and it’s not worth it.

I'm saying if he doesn't turn out to have a Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase impact it wasn't and trading up for him is telling me that's how the Saints felt

Rell, it's more about how WRz Chris Olave complements WRx Michael Thomas...

For me, when I updated the Roster Outlook Depth Chart with Olave and Penning that it really hit me how good that first round was for us...

Hey the fourth round has been especially good to us for nearly twenty years...

Rell, Brother, may I humbly suggest some of the better scouting drafting services I've listed at the bottom (general list, Olave page(s))...

There is a consensus that he was the best route runner in the draft; and on local television when DA gave nightly rap-ups on the days draft, DA said the same...

Absolutely hate giving up picks to move up, but DA's sights were on Olave and that was just gonna happen...

I did show on a previous post how using the more contemporary trade chart that both teams got good value...

https://blackandgold.com/saints/1018...tml#post951051 (2022 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints)

Personally, I'd rather have nabbed an elite CB after Penning, even a QB (Corral and Pickett were my favs) or we could have gotten an elite DL...

And I'd taken R2 to take Alec Pierce, and drafted one, even two more complementary WRs to spread the field...

But Michael Thomas and Chris Olave are already one of the elite WR duos in the league now....

Don't subscribed to ESPN, so I haven't listed what Kiper and Co have to say...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
