It'll interesting to see what happens at LB.
Andrew Dowell in his 3rd season might make the team. Deuce Windham is high on him. Baun is a conundrum. Elliss is in his 4th year and shows flashes--especially on Special Teams. DeMarco Jackson from Appalachian State is my dark horse to make the 53 man roster. The rookie from Notre Dame, Pryor, and the other rookie from Utah, Sewell, have a chance to make the practice squad since the Saints, in my opinion, only have two good-great LB's in Davis and Werner. |

Baun is in the wrong system here. He needs to be traded to a 3-4 team who can utilize his skills. It's not his fault that he was drafted into a 4-3(4-2-5). If we trade him he will benefit from the move and so will we. It's a win/win for everybody.

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints roster breakdown: Linebackers
I think we all know how I felt about Kwon, he will be missed! He was the perfect compliment to DD.
Pete Werner played better than I expected last season, though. He plays "heads-up" football, showed some good short yardage coverage skills, fills gaps well, and even has a little closing speed. Not sure he has the sideline to sideline range that Kwon had. I'm really hoping D'Marco Jackson becomes a real star. Everything you see on his college film looks like a star. He looked like the best player on the field a lot, which is what you expect from an athlete in the Sunbelt conference that makes it to the next level. But even against Miami he was dominant. Fingers crossed on this young man to come in and make a difference. All the others are a coin flip. If we could get something for Baun, do it. Ellis is a special teamer. I don't know much about the other guys but Wilson did flash a little in Minnesota. |
