I take it you doubt my sincerity. $10 million would not allow us to do anything or go anywhere that we are unable to visit or do today. We have no debts and no desire to relocate from our current home of 30 years. As I said, the Saints are one of our truest passions. We plan our travel around the games. I see no advantage to giving up that passion for a few extra bucks in the bank.

I don't get what you are taking as a lie, 1976. The Saints have been an integral part of my life for some 55 years. I am at a point in my life where I have both the time and the resources required to enjoy that passion to the fullest. While $10 million is a decent sum of money, it is not a life altering amount that would have me throw away 55 years of a given passion and then on top of that root for a team I have despised for most of my life. We reached a point, now 17 years ago, where we knew we could easily afford both the time and money to get season tickets and make the five plus hour drive to and from New Orleans. At that point we placed our name on the waiting list which was at that time over 50,000 names long. Our name finally came up prior to last season. As miserable as last season was it was still well worth the investment to be a part of the game day experience.

I get that for someone a good deal younger, with less of their life wrapped up in supporting the Saints, and at an earlier stage of financial stability, the allure of the money could completely alter their life and the sacrifice would be minimal in comparison. Heck, there have been several that have turned their backs on the Saints for something as trivial as politics.
