Deshaun Watson will play vs Saints, suspended vs all other NFC South Rivals!

1. Don’t think it’s a conspiracy.

2. Watson is a dangerous QB, and not just in the massage room.

3. We should beat the Browns with or without Watson, but mobile Quarterbacks give us problems. This is especially true if they run the read option. See Philadelphia who always manages to have the rare great running game against the Saints.

Just how long has he not played organized professional football again? And after his suspension ? It's reminiscent of another QB that played for the Whiners... Who never played another down. Not saying he's Kap, just saying he's not a HOF QB. Way too much hype for this dude.

A Doomsday scenario for you: Brissett has career year, and after week 11 has a high QBR, 19 TD's and 3 INT's and Browns are 8-3. The civil case is still open or in progress and Watson is still dismissive and 'standing on innocence'. Suddenly in the midst of playoff positioning you're prompted to change to a 200 million dollar QB who hasn't played in 2 years. Very few people in the media, fan base and locker room will be accepting of Watson. Watson and the Browns management will be out on a limb in the middle of a tsunami.

Brisset has a long record of mediocrity. This would be more unlikely than a scenario where during a Kamara suspension, Dwayne Washington becomes an elite every down RB leading the NFL in all purpose yards and Kamara shows no remorse and we dont know what to do with Kamara.

Not an expert, but from what I have always heard about this kind of behavior, sex offenders never actually believe they have done anything wrong.

Getting him to admit to it could be difficult if not impossible.

Not to mention the legal implications of it.

Unless major new charges come to light I doubt Goodell will extend Watsons suspension. Goodell would never do anything that benefits the Saints. Also it would be seen as the NFL backing out of their agreement using a fine print technicality after a detailed negotiation. Such a move would make other players less likely to settle and more likely to go to court, and court cases could subject owners to discovery of evidence and embarrassing emails. Owners wanted a settlement to avoid court. Making a settlement and then blowing up the settlement would be worse than no settlement for owners because it would put this case in court and lead more future cases to court. It could even effect tv negotiations because if networks see goodell make a deal and then back out on a technicality they may wonder if he could do the same to them in some way.

Do i wish watson was more remorseful? Sure. But i dont know if any nfl player or owner who did any thing wrong has ever been remorseful, just good at reading sincere copy from their laywer.

I dont believe goodell is remorseful for the no call or the overturned bountygate penalties. I believe goodell sees himself as the victim and hasn’t changed because he isnt mature and doesnt think the rules apply to him.
