McPhearson now, Brooks isn't going to get any better
Aaron Brooks has been here for 5 years. He is still calling time outs every game in the 1st and 3rd quarters, he still fumbles at a high rate WHEN NOT BEING HIT BY A DEFENDER, and he still has a nonchalant "I couldn't care less" attitude/ work ethic.
Aaron is a great athlete, but no leader. This team will never be anything more than mediocre with him at QB. 7-8-9 wins a year. Just enough to ensure a not very good draft pick. |

McPhearson now would only hurt his progression. I would prefer that he ride the bench at least this year.

concur... for some players getting in there and learning the hard way is the answer but not in this case. He needs sometime to learn from the bench first... he plays to much like a scared chicken still and there isn't much game planning for that, we'd simply be killed. He isn't ready to be taking shots from 1st stingers and play the way he does... a lot to learn.

The only positive about putting Amac in now would be to have an excuse for poor play. AB will get better as the season goes on bc the oline will solidify and our run game will get started. I'm not saying he doesn't make mistakes, but I think the Giants game showed he can make some great passes if given the opportunity. I'll take those great passes adn one turnover a game if we can get the whole team playing together. |

I think when most people say that AB doesn't have a good work ethic they maybe referring to the fact that when the Saint's are behind by 14 points, AB should not be smiling, not taking his time in the huddle or calling a time out, hell if your behind by 14 or 21 you should know what you need to do. They have cut to AB to many times when the Saints are trailing just to see him smiling like the Saints just won the Bowl. There ain't nothing funny about what is happening right now and most people just don't see a leader, they see a player with alot of talent who can't lead and doesn't seem to want to either. You always here what Horn is saying in the Media, never AB.
I agree with the opinion that he is not the player to take us to the promised land and never will, but I do not blame him as much as I do Haz at this point, he is the ultimate leader and he is leading this team to another sub par season and should be fired now. Why wait AB knows the plays so what do we need a coach for and believe me if Haz is gone AB will still fumble, throw Int's in the redzone and make bonehead throws, but I guess he has a great downfield arm. |

Hey E, I agree but at least we wouldn't know when the int, fumble or bad pass was coming, with AB is becoming way to predictable and that would make it alot more exciting.

YES, AB will get "better" as the seasons rolls on, but SOOOOOOOO WHAT! If we start A-Mac and he does good, Haz will look like a master mind and he will stay along with Venturi and the rest of the coaching staff. If Brooks stays in he will beef of his stats, we will have a typical Saints football year, and we can trade him off to another team for a draft pick. Listen guys, coaching has alot to do with player performance. If you don't believe me just look at the turn around that has happened at Notre Dame. When we get a good coach and surrounds himself with good assistants our O and D lines WILL improve. |

!. The season is far from over -- Tampa will fade, the falcons probably will lose this week and the Panthers are already 1-2 with the loss to us. While Amac may be the QB of the Saints future he is not the one who will give us a chance to win now. Lets wait and see. If mid season we are out of the running I am all for giving him the snaps to see if he progresses.
As for those who want to continually bring up the defense I have to say that they held the Vikings in check the second half and gave the offense the chance to win. Same with the game before -- when the offense has 10 turnovers in 2 games you cannot blame the defense. |
