That’s the rub. If he really did talk to the team, would that not follow under coaching? He’s under contract. Good ol Rogdge will find something wrong there.

This is the complete game I've been waiting for!

Andy Dalton finished with a 117 QBR.

-Can't guard Olave.
-Dalton is playing as well as he ever did.
-Peat on the field is a difference maker.
- Taylor is the real deal. Talented with EFFORT.
-Rasheed continues to make plays.
-Davenport, Onyemata and Turner sighting.
-No Turnovers.
-Hill making plays.
-Refs didn't have their hands on the scale.
-Raiders are bad.

While I don’t necessarily disagree with your assessment, I will say Winston did NOT have the kind of blocking (run or pass) that Dalton had today.

Not wanting to rain on the parade but this requires tempering… Context : Raiders are about 25th in pass defense, tied for 32nd in sacks, and giving up the same average number of points as we are. Winston had the same kind of blocking just didn’t play against the Raiders.

Let's enjoy this and rejoice!.

Who Dat! :bng:

All of the above! although I'll say that it was less AK's speech and more of GIVING HIM THE DAMN BALL that proved most effective! Enjoying a dominating win! :bng:

Agree the Saints beat a team they should beat. But they haven't done that this season so I'm encouraged.

Don't want to get too excited but starters returning from injury at the right time...

Re: Observations from the Saints' Dominating Win vs Raiders

My Post Mortem Monday Review:

The Downers (and I’m really nitpicking here)
- Lutz is still off a bit. Not sure if he’s fully recovered or if he needs to get into a groove. Missing chip shots used to never happen with him. Now, not so much.
- “Starters” are still on the sidelines. Problematic getting into the meat of the season. Side note: Washington is no Ingram. Get well soon Big Guy!
- ….I literally have nothing else!

The Uppers (and for once I had to trim down this list)
- Olave continues to be a shining star and is very much in the running for ROY.
- Werner is like horse $h!t on a farm! He’s all over the place! 11 tackles and 7 solos!
- Dline was spectacular! Turner, Big O, and Davenport! Serve up more please!!!
- Taylor. The fact that they put him on Adams and held him to ONE reception for THREE yards cannot be understated! I’ll go out on a limb and say this is shaping up to be one of the BEST DB corps in the league (when healthy)!
- Turnovers. Finally on the plus side of that equation. We got one and didn’t give one up!
- Oline pass protection and run blocking was rock solid. Second straight game where Dalton was not sacked! AWESOME!
- Dalton played mistake free football. Got rid of the ball quickly. Hit his read progressions without hesitation. Ball control was flawless.
- Coaching. Not sure what changed this week, but good creative play calling, use of their top weapons (AK41 and Olave), taking care of the ball and eliminating bone headed penalties was obviously a priority this week!

And last but not least… This squad pitched a friggin’ SHUT OUT!!!! I can’t remember the last time I saw that!

Wholeheartedly agree that a win is a win and we are in desperate need of a couple before reparations to fans enter the discussion lol. I’m just not ready to have hope for 3rd in our division this season.
