Observations from the saints Loss to the 49ers
Yet another loss from a team that is challenging and frustrating to watch at times.
Yes, the refs were definitely a factor in this game. They always are... and the team knows that and should be better to be able to overcome that and much more as it undergoes its ebb and flows. At the end of the day, the Saints are what they are, and their record speaks for itself. Still incredibly, they are not out contention, although they should be, for the NFC South lead. The fat lady is in all likelihood gargling to get ready. How many draft picks are we getting for SP already? | |

9-8 can easily win this division.

I thought the defense played well (with the exception of that boneheaded Harris Jr). Nothing was easy for Debo/Christian or Ayuik.
Too many missed opportunities (fumbles & missed fg) though. The Niners were definitely on the ropes today. I'm really, really stoked for the future with Olave and Shaheed. These guys are ballers. |

Neither Dalton nor Winston can propel this team to a playoff berth and the Eagles are likely getting a top 10 pick. I think this team needs to embrace a rebuild and have a fire sale in the off-season. |
