Well next year we're $53 million above the cap which should be easier to navigate than this year was, lol. If Payton doesn't want to be here anymore we have to maximize the value for him via trade. From there we have to upgrade the left side of the offensive line. We need two, young running backs which can be found in the draft. You're going to need help at DE because Cam is aging and Davenport/Turner are always injured. There's a lo to do. It's gonna take a while, but we can win some games and be a good team in the process if managed right.

Does that $53MM take into account the new cap for 2023

Coach Prime can manage that ... he'll land with his G5.

I think that’s before the adjustment so we might be even better off.

I initially thought he'd stay 4 years @ JSU.

It will be interesting to see how many kids enter the portal and follow him to Colorado. I'm pretty certain Travis Hunter is coming as well.

Yep. Travis already said he was transferring to Colorado. This really sent a huge ripple throughout the Black community. On that side of the algorithm the debates have been heated.

I definitely thought he'd give JSU 4 or 5 years. I never expected him to be there forever, but he definitely sold a dream of leading JSU into competing with the other FCS and Power 5 schools. Prime has been my favorite athlete my entire life. For me, he could do no wrong. I played football because of him. I wanted to be a corner since the age of 5 because of him. The way this transition was handled really hurt my heart.

Appreciate your thoughts and opening up rez. Watching him play against the Saints both for the Niners and Atl I could never get behind him as a player,
but I appreciated his game and ethic. He continued to display that in his post playing career.
