DECIMATION, DENIAL, AND A BYE-WEEK
As a long-time Fan of both the Game, and our Team, I have to say that it's getting harder to keep swatting at symptoms of causes that remain unclear.
After what I witnessed last night, my suspicions that we have a "Management Problem" were both solidified and reframed, by realizing that this beloved game may indeed be rigged. For me, that's a huge bummer on top of a bummer. I don't know how our front office couldn't have seen this season (and perhaps a few more seasons) coming, while Drew Brees was in decline and Sean Payton was on his way out, without being better prepared for this, or how a Game could so precisely turn and unravel like (literally) clockwork, down to the last 3 seconds... or if in fact, there is some nefarious marketing mechanism that dictates and drives the modifications and media narratives of rises and falls in the league, and our players (all "players") might just be participating in a big "Show" in the "Entertainment Industry". I am saying that I just don't know. Heading into a week without Saints-Football is both a curse, because I LOVE watching my Saints, week after week, no matter what the outcome... and a blessing, because I really don't know how much more of this "Game" I can take. |

You stink. Michael thomas career is over. Kamara is getting old. You have agind talent, a terrible cap situation and no draft picks. I dont care if you have 7 picks, you lost a number 1 for nothing...again. bad management all day.
Youve got years of wallowing in **** coming Maybe Malcolm Jenkins can cuss out a hall of famer again because he loves the black criminals and ****ting on a country that has afforded him the opportunity to earn millions through his hard work. And F Drew for being too much of a coward to stand up for what is right because he was afraid to lose his tv gig. Wonder how Brittany Griner is enjoying the hospitality of other nations as opposed to the racist USA. The Saints stink and so does the NFL. Quit watching and giving them your money. Many of you watch and give money to a business that does not rrpresent your values. Cowards. |
Your team stinks

Re: DECIMATION, DENIAL, AND A BYE-WEEK
Well, here’s my view of it. It’s tough to win any single football game much less maintain success. The combo of Brady/Billichik and maybe the Steelers under Tomlin (and Payton/Saints) are the exceptions.
Otherwise, all teams have had a few down years. Niners have lost two SBs but also had some crappy years. Since Manning’s Denver Win they’ve sucked. Carolina and Atl both lost SBs but and have had more crappy years than the Saints have. Green Bay still has won only once with Rodgers and has had some poor seasons. Rams took a while to win and suck this year. Some teams perennially suck despite trying. It’s tough to win. Another thought is maybe they “saw things coming” but were limited in options. I think we would have taken Mahomes but KC beat us to it. Otherwise I think they were planning on Winston being able as a backup plan. He may have been successful without his Injury and Payton still as the coach. They were winning with him last year till he went down. So, in summary, I’m not surprised to have a down year. Injuries, calls, fumbles and coaching have all played a part in the record. Gotta see what comes of the future. Even Payton had losing seasons with Brees. I’m not throwing in the towel. Maybe Payton comes back. Maybe we get picks for him. Maybe we can trade Thomas…Maybe he and Kamara will play like their old selves for us next year. Maybe Allen is gone. Maybe he finds his stride with a healthy team and a QB he wants. He’s got young talented players at WR and CB to work with. First thing I’d do is try to sign Minshew and go from there. That’s just me. |
You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

Kamara dropped off big time. Big name FA acquisitions have not panned out at WR and safety. Injuries galore for 2 seasons. Quarterback carousel for 2 seasons. It's hard to win, this stuff makes it nearly impossible. Teams with consistent QB play and consistent health go to the playoffs.
