Payton's landing somewhere as head coach is going to be more of a problematic move than some anticipate. All three parties have to be on the same page.

1) The possible acquiring franchise must be completely open to trading a great deal of capital solely for the rights of Payton;

2) Payton must be seeing that franchise as being at the very least an acceptable location to land;

3) and the Saints must be willing to accept the location AND the capital being offered.

If any of those are not in place Payton will be back on the boob tube next season.

However, the final location with the least resistance would be to New Orleans as two of the three roadblocks would be non-existent.
