If Mingo is there , he's not BPA on the board. Based on the mocks I've done so far , there are other position group ahead as t that spot.

Re: Michael Thomas agrees to restructured contract

Why do we need an insurance policy for our #3 receiver? Who are the insurance policies for Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones? Do the Eagles need an insurance polocy for Rashaad Penny?

We could still draft a WR at some point but a more dynamic TE, better LG, or more depth on oline would probably benefit our offense more. And in the 7th round, an insurance policy for Lutz?

The Saints would be crazy NOT to draft a WR in 2023. It's just a matter of which round they select.

After Olave & Shaheed, it gets really dicey + we have suspect depth at the position. You BUILD for the NOW and later.

When was the last time you looked at the Eagles WR/TE roster & depth chart? AJ Brown, Devonta, Quez, and a TE named Dallas Goedert (see Philly in the 2022 Super Bowl).

We don't have that type of talent or depth at those positions.

Don't get me wrong, I think Michael Thomas was one of the best receivers in the league a few years back, maybe the best. The weird thing about him though is he's just never felt as dangerous in a game to me as some other receivers. Like he feels like one of those consistency guys, not one of those guys that put their will on the opponent or something if that makes sense. Maybe I'm crazy.

It's not something that I'm openly criticizing him for, but I've just never thought of him as some all-time great receiver like some people were expecting him to become.

What he was, and what I believe he still will be, is a first down machine. On third and whatever he is automatic. He catches anything thrown his direction. He's not going to bust a bunch of 60 yard plays, but he will have 12 catches for 145 yards producing ten clutch first downs more times than not.

Arguably some of the best hands in the biz. If it was in his zip code and he could get a finger on it, he generally was money to bring it in... held onto it pretty well in coverage too. Pissed off a lot of DB's around the league.

Just praying that we get to see some of that for a season in '23.

We saw exactly that in the first two games last season before the second completely unrelated fluke injury with the three contested TD's. I honestly see no reason why he wouldn't still have those abilities. Even if one would claim his injuries would hamper him in some way, which I don't believe, they would have to know it wouldn't affect his eyes, his hands, and his strength. That's what makes him so great.

Does anyone have news about Michael Thomas' physical? It was supposed to be on or about yesterday 4/21.

With the reports that Michael Thomas was randomly drug tested for PEDs, if we performed a physical on 4/21 but haven't officially passed or failed him, we should PED drug test any specimens we have from that physical and fail him if he tests positive. If would be a disaster if we pass his physical and a day later the league fails his PED test and we pay him $10-15 million for being suspended.

I don't think he is on PEDs but it would not be that surprising. If he could not get fully healed and was worried about failing the physical, being cut, and ending up out of the league, it would be tempting to use PEDs, pass the physical, have a better chance at a monster season, get another long term deal, quit the PEDs, and coast off into the sunset with a lot more money.
