If Thomas can slowly work back through training camp then the back ups will get in work with Carr while Thomas eases back in. That sounds like a win/win scenario for everybody. Thomas was the man against Atlanta last year, and we need him to play more games this year by not over using him and reinjuring him rushing back when he's not fully healthy. Not to mention, his injuries are not the only concern. He hasn't really played in years, his body is older, and other injuries sneak up on you when attempting a come back. I'm speaking from experience. It's not always the old injuries that get you. Sometimes you overcompensate for an injury, which sometimes causes anther injury.

It's sounding like he's going to be 100% go by training camp (ie. fully healthy). Allen basically said they'll be doing that slow work back leading up to training camp.

Re: Michael Thomas agrees to restructured contract

Loomis says he expects Thomas to be every bit the player he was before the injuries. Also says that Thomas has "worked so hard" to get back over the past two, three years to get back.

I’d rather hear about Moreau who is battling cancer and trying to get on the field then another “He’s doing everything he can to get back” story on Thomas. It’s just redundant. Until the guy gets on the field and produces regularly, I’m pretty disinterested. I’m kind of over it all. Lol.

+1.

I've focused my attention on these young guys @ camp. The Wake Forest kid as well as Bryan Edwards could use the extra reps anyway.

Maybe we sign the vet (James Washington) who is in for a visit today 5/15 (WR). Very productive with the Steelers, however battled injuries last season in Dallas. I'm glad we're kicking the tires on him.

I like his vertical game & could be good insurance.

If Mike is ready by September, GREAT. If not, it is what it is.
