Went look at the Texans picks and it would be nice to get their first(12th overall) and second this year or first(12th overall) and third this year with a second next year. I absolutely think Payton is worth that much, especially if they grab a top tier QB with that second overall pick. Not to mention, if I’m reading that right, looks like they have $47 million to play with this off season. He’ll make that team relevant quick

No kidding. That's basically the type of deal that has been floating out there. A 1st and some other picks to bring a balance. For Denver it would be a late 2023 1st so the other picks would be less of the total equation. Carolina's 1st would be a mid-range 1st so the other picks would be even that much less, but in total about the same.

They cannot play one suitor against another because Payton is the one that gets to choose where he wants to go. The Saints literally have little to no leverage. Payton carries by far the most leverage, followed closely by the individual team of his choice. The Saints pull up the rear in the leverage race by a good margin.
