I like what I've seen from Brock, but have you noticed how the Niners can get more out of 2nd tier QBs over the years?

IMO Kyle Shanahan is arguably the top 1, or 2 signal caller in the game.

At the moment I wouldn't be crushed if the Saints were to try and accumulate more and better picks for future drafts while tanking the season.

Naturally I hope for success, but I feel like a rebuild is necessary for another championship.

Re: What should the Saints’ plan be to upgrade at QB?

It's really not that complicated. Yeah, in some cases it takes time to develop a QB, but in reality, either they have it or not. Much of the ability resides between the ears when reaching the professional level. Whiners may have lucked out with Purdy, or did they? Just like SP knew with Mahomes, proper evaluation could go a long way.

Is Carr still in play?

I love Carr's leadership and mettle, but his price tag scares the crap out of me.

Do we give Winston another shot coming in healthy?

Do we look do trade for someone like Carr? Lamar?

Do we take our new found draft picks and trade up and spend the wad on a rookie and throw him out there day one?
Care will be on the block for sure. Might be able to get him for a 3rd

Carr ? With Pete Carmichael and co still running the offense ? ... Meh.

I'm in the minority here but I'd prefer to see what a HEALTHY JWinston could do. He's probably gone but the guy is still under contract for this year.

The Saints need to refocus on going young & try to find a stud on a cheap rookie deal and get out of the red with the cap.

Well, then I'm in the minority, too. I doubt we can bring in an elite free agent QB so whatever we do have is going to be a bridge, at least, until a draftee develops, so I am completely on board to see Winston handle things for the year. Who knows, he could surprise and be the long term answer. His price is right and he's already under contract.
