Did the scouts "miss" on their reporting of Purdy or is it Shanahan's/Niners system?
I like what I've seen from Brock, but have you noticed how the Niners can get more out of 2nd tier QBs over the years? IMO Kyle Shanahan is arguably the top 1, or 2 signal caller in the game. |

Re: What should the Saints’ plan be to upgrade at QB?
At the moment I wouldn't be crushed if the Saints were to try and accumulate more and better picks for future drafts while tanking the season.
Naturally I hope for success, but I feel like a rebuild is necessary for another championship. |

Re: What should the Saints’ plan be to upgrade at QB?
It's really not that complicated. Yeah, in some cases it takes time to develop a QB, but in reality, either they have it or not. Much of the ability resides between the ears when reaching the professional level. Whiners may have lucked out with Purdy, or did they? Just like SP knew with Mahomes, proper evaluation could go a long way.

Is Carr still in play?

Re: What should the Saints’ plan be to upgrade at QB?
Carr ? With Pete Carmichael and co still running the offense ? ... Meh.
I'm in the minority here but I'd prefer to see what a HEALTHY JWinston could do. He's probably gone but the guy is still under contract for this year. The Saints need to refocus on going young & try to find a stud on a cheap rookie deal and get out of the red with the cap. |

Who knows, he could surprise and be the long term answer. His price is right and he's already under contract.
