Carr ? With Pete Carmichael and co still running the offense
![]() I'm in the minority here but I'd prefer to see what a HEALTHY JWinston could do. He's probably gone but the guy is still under contract for this year. The Saints need to refocus on going young & try to find a stud on a cheap rookie deal and get out of the red with the cap. |

Who knows, he could surprise and be the long term answer. His price is right and he's already under contract.

Daniel jones would be my first pick. Then probably Jimmy G. Maybe max jones, white or rod gets could be up for trade. Any of the above would be a huge upgrade.

Re: What should the Saints’ plan be to upgrade at QB?
I think the current coaching staff has lost faith in Winston or we would have seen more of him this season. Dalton is at best, serviceable. He's past his prime. Not sure how I feel about Carr and he might cost too much. Jimmy G for the right price.
Just my 2cents. Discussion is why this board exists. |

Can an argument be made that the 2024 QB class is far better than the 2023 class?

Can you really tell until they actually play in the NFL? That's what makes it so difficult. How much do you gamble on that position while passing on other positions that may be more predictable.

SP was in control previously and made the wrong calls on QBs not named Brees and Mahomes. Maybe Jeff Ireland and DA get an opportunity in 2023 for a similar nugget as Purdy. ![]()
