Re: Report: Saints part ways with Kris Richard
Our 7-10 record and 22nd rated offense had just as much to do with fielding a backup QB all season behind a makeshift offensive line as it did the playcalling of the offensive coordinator. Sure, Carmichael deserves some blame, but not all of it. There's few coordinators in the league that could have won with what we had to deal with personnel wise this past season.
Let's also not forget that SIX of our loses came against eventual playoff teams. Those are games you are supposed to lose when fielding backups in key positions. |

Oh I'll add our DC's have bailed and Allen only let a RB coach go ( that's a sign of good leadership) I'm curious who really wants to come to a sinking ship under Allen watch. They are going to be hard up for a job to work under this clown.

Re: Report: Saints part ways with Kris Richard
My guess is that Richard's and Allen's philosophical differences may have involved defensive playcalling duties. We all know Allen doesn't want to give them up, nor would I want him to. This hire would make that less of an issue.

Dallas will probably call (lots of coaching vacancies) on Kris to work in some capacity. Maybe even with SP in Denver.
Most of us know how well Dan Quinn can assemble a defense (see Seattle and Dallas). I wish Kris all the best. |

Oh great, Allen is bringing in coaches from his Raiders days, we are now building the 2014 Raiders here. Gotta love that.

At this point, only a fool would believe in anything that Dennis Allen does or says. The level of incompetence has been mind-blowing this past season. |

He wouldn't be crying about being burned out and needing time off, only to start fresh anew in the mile high city. That's why many fans are still salty... SP quit when he couldn't transition from Brees.

As for Mahomes, how can you place any blame on Loomis and Payton for the Saints not having him now? They attempted to move up to try to get him but were unable to make any deal to get up that high. That's not their fault. Move on from that. |
