Re: Saints Likely To Trade 2024 1st Round Pick
I believe in second chances. God knows, I've needed a few in my time. Kamara had a clean record before the Vegas beat down and I expect him to stay out of trouble from now on. It's not like he's a repeat offender.

Recent revealings show there may be more to the story, as is almost always the case. We shall see if a Perry Mason moment ensues.

Re: Saints Likely To Trade 2024 1st Round Pick
I think we should stay put at 29 and hopefully an O lineman like Skoronski or Torrance will fall to us. That would be my ideal first. If neither are there then go with DL and possibly grab Mauch at 40. He’s projected to be a good fit a OG and is basically T Penning clone at the guard position from what I’ve read and would provide a nasty run game if it pans out.
When it comes to DL, I’m undecided what I want first between DE an DT if we go that route at 29 or 40. |

Re: Saints Likely To Trade 2024 1st Round Pick
Unfortunately father time does not believe in second chances. Kamara will be 28 before the season starts which is old for a RB. He has always been injured a few games a year so he is not the rare ultra-durable RB. His production has declines drastically since Brees retirement whereas for example McCaffrey was able to be productive with Carolina's musical chairs of lousy QBs. It's possible Kamara has a couple good years left, but smart GMs tend to buy low and sell high, and it makes sense for needed rebuilding to get value for Kamara while we can, or at least not push dollars down the road where we have to keep him past his prime and pay a giant dead cap when he retires after years of decline. The smart move would be that if Kamara has a few big games post-suspension, we trade him for value while we can.

Kamara has played 13 games more than McCaffery who in the 2020 & 2021 seasons played a combined 10 games. Stat Wise they are the same Running Back. Below are the career stats per the NFL. Spin them any way you want. Christian McCaffery Gms Plyd 75 Yds 4726 YPC 4.7 TD 38 20+ 22 Alvin Kamara Gms Plyd 88 Yds 5135 YPC 4.5 TD 49 20+ 24 |

Career stat wise they are the same running back. Year by year Kamara started hotter as a rookie and declined greatly in yards per attempt the last two years without Brees. Meanwhile McCaffrey had a mediocre rookie season but rushed his career average ypc last year and has never declined despite never having a Brees to play with and having many offenses like the 2021-2022 Saints ones. Clearly McCaffrey is more injury prone, but there is more evidence Kamara’s skill is declining. Regardless, I would not like to be on the hook for lots of money to either one in their 30’s. Neither looks like an Adrian Peterson type who will outlast all their peers, and as we see with Jamaal Williams, running backs are a dime a dozen when they are no longer young and absolutely elite. |

second chance to screw the pooch.... nope. Get rid of him. Pretty sure there is somebody better than him out there. regardless, no need for the drama and short sightedness of this animal. the thug makes MORE money than you and I will EVER make playing a game, and still acts the idiot/fool. Control your anger man....display it on the field with finesse
