The only player that I'd be interested in trading up for is DT Jalen Carter. I think the kid will be next-level special. There are some good Day 2 o-line prospects that could become quality starters. |
Re: OK Then... New Biggest Need
An actual coach. D Allen stayed true to his head coach form, back when Sean Peyton was suspended in 2012- Allen's record 4-12 (Raiders) jump to the present, still losing.... as he has so eloquently demonstrated. True to form. :beatnik:
See for yourself. Here are Allen’s records through nine games in each of his four stints as a head coach in the NFL: 2012 Raiders: 3-6 (finished 4-12) 2013 Raiders: 3-6 (finished 4-12) 2014 Raiders: 0-9 (Allen was fired after starting 0-4, and the Raiders finished at 3-13 without him) 2022 Saints: 7-10 https://saintswire.usatoday.com/2022...history-stats/ |

I’d like to add OBJ.

Re: OK Then... New Biggest Need
DT is my top priority. Followed closely by OG. Preferably Cyrus Torrence. DE is also a big need. Maybe a speedster who can chase down mobile QB's. Tajae spears in the third round is my one must have though. I see him as an eventual AK replacement and filling in for six games or so. This is supposed to be a deep TE draft, so I want one of those too.

Re: OK Then... New Biggest Need
From the link above: Saints college scouting director Jeff Ireland was a fan of his coming out of Baton Rouge, and Moreau was a favorite target of Derek Carr with the Raiders — he averaged 2.6 and 3.6 targets per game the last two years. This doesn’t mean that a signing is imminent, but it would make a lot of sense. Moreau is a competent blocker who could push Adam Trautman down into a role more focused on what he does best (paving the way on run plays) while complementing Juwan Johnson as the lead tight end. Having Johnson handle the lion’s share of receiving duties while Moreau chips in as both a receiver and blocker, being more of an all-around player, could be a nice addition to the offense. |

LB depth
Pete is a solid player but he has been knicked up. We all know Demario is a dawg but father NEVER lose. Do you really trust Baun & an unproven rookie (DJackson) to fill in if our starters go down? Yep, quality LB depth is necessary. |

Five seasons in, he's gained more bulk & is still quick. Slightly bigger taller than Mike T (could play the X as back up) & can play @ the Z. I think he'd be a "safer" choice at WR without the costly price tag. Last I heard, Odell's camp is asking anywhere from 4-8M. Big risk on a 30 year old with two torn ACL's. Dallas was interested however Jerrah decided to trade for B Cooks instead. |
Re: OK Then... New Biggest Need
Edit ** it appears the Panthers are closing in on Thielen AND Chark.
They are in serious need of pass catchers after the departure of DJ Moore. If the Panthers get their QB (long term) in the draft, they could be dangerous in the NFC South. Their defense is already solid. |
