The Saints were Snakebit for injuries last year. The national press has documented it. That’s 2 years in a row we’ve had really bad luck as far as player availability. It’s happened to old, young, prone and non-prone players.

Yup. The type of injuries we have been experiencing have nothing to do with conditioning or such. It's simply been bad luck. Just being in the wrong place at the wrong time AND to key individual players. In fact I read that our soft tissue numbers are way down. That's on the Saints' Dr. Matt Rhea.

For one thing he was very lucky. And he was talented enough to stay away from trouble. Certainly some players have better genes than others.

Let's get our younger players to step up and get some new players both in the draft and UDFA.

I agree with bringing in younger, cheaper players who the Saints scouts think will fit the system. What are your thoughts on DJ Clark? He seems like a solid option to me.

If the Panthers get their QB (long term) in the draft, they could be dangerous in the NFC South. Their defense is already solid.

UGH....very true

Inclined to agree

ODB is another "all about me" player. Injuries have bit him recently, and his asking price is not good. Landry and ODB are the same age if not mistaken it is time to get some future.

I hope MT can have one last good year, because he is in that 30 yr old group as well. Unfortunately, he watched from his living room during his prime. Him having a good year could afford us to give youth a year of experience .

If there was a veteran that would come at a fair price, I wouldn't mind picking up one more but it is slim pickings out there.

Dunno man...

Players seem to really respect and revere OBJ. Says a lot.

Most of us here thought MT was absolutely a diva for sure gone. What did we know...

KMajor says he's as awesome. While I am an LSU homer, I'm not quite ready to jump off the ledge just yet!

I was not among those at all. And he's far from being a diva. One could say he's the polar opposite.

Lol !!... slight exaggeration eh :bng:?

He would be one hell of an X (in case MT isn't healthy) or even the Z. Chark isn't awesome but would be a quality compliment to our group.
