Rickey Jackson has chimed in once or twice that if the Saints had the offense under Brees, any of them, and the Dome Patrol defense, we're seeing multiple Tiffanys on Poydras St.

That’s a big “if”.

Even so I think the 18 team is the best. In 09 we were underdogs in the SB. We would not have been against Pats in 2018. Everyone knew we were the best team and it took a blatant NFL screw job to keep us from proving it. 2009 is my favorite team, but it’s not the best. It took Ambush and a big pick 6 to win that SB. 2018 would have crushed the Pats. Pats fans up here fully admit that.

The Saints offense in 1992 had RB Vaughn Dunbar and Ironhead in the backfield, Quinn Early and Eric Martin as WR's and Hoby Brenner? The O-line wasn't too shabby either.
Damn right Brees would've won at least one Superbowl with that team.

Hate to get some of the old heads mad but my uncle consistently blamed offensive coordinator Carl Smith for being too "predictable" in key moments.

0-4 in the playoffs gotta sting

So Mr QB Choke in crucial moments had nothing to do with this?

I wonder why he won't talk about it much since he's on the radio now covering the very team he used to play for?

Bounced around the league (QB coach) for years but he's an assistant HC with Seattle as of now.
