Re: Will Raiders Trade For Jameis Winston?
I know a lot of people have their minds made up about Winston and that’s understandable. But consider he is still only 29 and he’s got a great arm that put up a 5,000 yard season. If I were the Raiders or any team I’d take a chance on him over washed up Ryan, Wentz, or a guy like Dalton who never put up a 30+ TD season. I’m glad we signed Car, but I think JW still has a viable place in the NFL.

But, injuries happen every season. Someone will lose a starting QB for an extended period. It happens every year. The Saints should be ready to take advantage of that situation with Winston.

Winston was at his best when Payton was coaching him and making him wear blinders like a race horse while he was micro managed.

Injuries have been the wildcard for the last several years with our team. I would hold onto Winston until the season is over. Hill and Haener possibly could step in if Carr gets hurt, but I like our chances of hanging in there better with Jameis as QB. Just my take.

I would take anyone over JW. If we can get anything for him I’ll pack for him

Re: Will Raiders Trade For Jameis Winston?
Carr is the QB we were looking for. He is much better than anyone realizes. This is a guy you can win Super Bowls with and if you put him in the right position will win Super Bowls. Carr has the potential to get a HoF bust imo, just nobody realizes it quite yet cause he's been in football hell for so long. Quite frankly, it's kind of amazing he performed as he did in Oakland/LV considering the situation there. This season will cement him as the guy and we won't be worried about QBs anymore. I'm telling you... Brees 2.0. He's not the same player in terms of what they actually do, but the way we picked him up off the free-agent market is similar. If we send Winston to the Raiders, and we get resources from that, then the Raiders will have officially got fleeced. If Carr gets hurt, I'd prefer to go with Taysom or something; anything but Winston. I don't think Allen and Carmichael are creative enough to win with a QB like Winston(or some other middle-of-the-road QB) like Payton was(this does not mean I don't think that we can win with Allen or Carmichael though). Allen is hyper-logical in how he approaches football, he's definitely not bad. He's just not as good as Payton. Payton just had a wisdom about him that we don't have on our coaching staff anymore. It's like he knew what to do often at the right time. I really miss having that. Allen is more like playing the odds.

If Winston is dealt, I don't see the Saints getting more than a 7th round pick for him, or maybe a reserve player that has a 50/50 chance at making the roster. If he is dealt, I would imagine the Saints would probably reach out to Chase Daniel or Teddy Bridgewater to fill the primary backup role.
