How so? Lutz did not a good season and we should always look to get better. Patterson had a good season for Jacksonville last season and we waived. He would have been good competition to push Lutz.

Edit: Okay. I did some more research and this Patterson guy was never a free agent. He wasn't available for the Saints to even sign. He was traded to Detroit from J'Ville. There was nothing there for the Saints to "waive" at. MAY 25 2023 Traded to Detroit (DET) from Jacksonville (JAC) for 2026 7th round pick But seriously, papz, did you have him on your fantasy team or something? There were 20 free agent veteran kickers out there to pick from. He wasn't among them. |
