Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
I know it’s not official, but I am! This year I decided to put my insights on paper! We are going to get a first round pick from someone for Payton! We will trade Thomas for another #1 and trade up to get our future QB! We will pick a couple of RB’s and DB’s! We will get Landry back next year and draft a Mike too! First observation, but it would be good! Allen needs another year before we fire him if he doesn’t produce!

Draft if April 27th. So much has to happen before then. Most importantly, Sean Payton's next coaching job.
I'm sure all parties involved want this done as early in the offseason as possible. |

2023 Draft and FA
Not happy to be eliminated from the playoffs, but I am happy to see this to continue to fight and show up each week so credit to DA for that. Hoping to get some discussion going on what everyone feels like our needs are moving forward. IMO…
Defense Monster DT Safeties Offense Guard Running Back I didn’t mention qb because that is most obvious but I am hoping we can keep Dalton and snag a high enough pick to get Stroud. Whats everyone else’s thoughts. |

We should have detained Deuce Vaughn after the Sugar Bowl and refused to let him leave the Superdome. Vaughn looks like Darren Sproles and a wolf had a baby. He should fare better than Sproles in the NFL - think of Sprolesy, but add jump-cutting ability that reminds me of LeSean McCoy. He has sneaky power like DeAngelo Williams or Maurice Jones Drew had. He does a great job will his small frame to burrow for extra yards. He didn't show it in the Sugar Bowl, but Vaughn is also a very good receiver.
Very excited for this draft. This is going to be an important one. There will be a lot of bargains at QB and OL this year. Sometimes I watch the Georgia Bulldogs OL and think they are probably better than some of the lesser starting OL in the NFL! |

Re: 2023 Draft and FA
Anyone NOT on a rookie deal should be looked at closely. Saints have work to do cleaning up debt.
DT (1TECH) is a position of need IMO. SS & RB as well. Probably deserves it's own thread but Pete Carmichael needs to be released after next week's "finale". Taysom, Shaheed & AK were criminally underutilized for most of 2022. |

I think the Saints can get a #1 for Payton, I'm just worried that it won't be for the 2023 draft.
