There is a trust that is lost when one makes the decision to sexual assault a person, or abuse a child, or send a person to the hospital through a physical beating. They don’t see it as a mistake. To those people, Shoplifting or speeding are mistakes that can be forgiven. Violence is another matter. It’s an indication of a person’s deep character. A sign of what they are capable of when put in a certain situation.

You can forgive your dog for peeing on the floor or chewing your shoes or breaking into the food. You don’t forgive your dog when it injures you or a family member in an attack and sends them to the hospital. You put the dog down and get a new one.

At least that’s the way others have explained it to me; including people who have been victims of sexual or physical attack. It’s not the person the hate…it’s the act and personal violation they’ve experienced that they have to deal with for the rest of their lives that they hate.
It depends on who commits the violent acts and who those acts were against. If violence is the line drawn in the sand as an unforgivable act…..nevermind.

I agree circumstances matter rez. I’d never say violence is always unacceptable. But In this particular situation has Kamara not made statements like:

“ There is absolutely no excuse”

“ I was completely in the wrong”

“I accept full responsibility”

To some people (Not necessarily saying myself) accepting that responsibility involves losing all trust from some going forward. He’s crossed a line by (admitting to) attacking a man without excuse and putting him in the hospital for no good reason. He then bragged about it later in a car. That’s not heat of the moment.

Just giving a viewpoint i’ve heard expressed by others in attempt to answer rugbys earlier posted statement; “He has been through the legal process and the court of public opinion still wants him to pay more. I don't get it.”

You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

I think Kamara is answering the way he knows certain segments of society want him to answer. There’s really no other way for him to respond with increasing the backlash and the punishment. I’m truly surprised it’s still a topic of conversation and that people feel so strongly about it. So many perspectives. I see why many of us can’t get on the same page in general.

I was fine with AK giving him a beat down. The instigator literally got what he asked for. After he punched him several times AK got up and then his friends knocked out the newest member of the millionaire club with a curb stomp.....which is unforgivable. Where I have a big problem is listening to the thug mentality he had when he was bragging in the video to his posse. I lost a ton of respect for him but maybe he can gain it back. It's time for AK to find new friends like someone said earlier.

Re: Kamara pleads no contest to misdemeanor charge

What transpired on that Las Vegas night was an embarrassment to the team, the league, the city, and AK's family. Luckily that guy didn't die (was beaten unconscious).

AK isn't 18 or 19 years of age.

Find new friends.

The same can be said for the other NFL player, Colts' Chris Lammons, that was even more involved than Kamara in the incident yet got the exact same three game suspension. Although, it was their buddies that did most of the damage.

The lesson was learned, the guy got his money just as he likely planned, and it's now time to move on.

Then again, there's always those that live by the mantra that "haters gonna hate".

I could care LESS what any OTHER NFL player does in the league & no one here on this board has to "move on". If you don't like others' opinions, use the ignore button. It's there for a reason.

You'd probably be singing a totally different tune if your son/daughter/wife was beaten senseless by AK's entourage.

By the way, please place the ignore button on me because your comments and opinions are inconsequential to me.

Saintfan was spot on. Narcissistic clown.

Nor was it your son/daughter/wife. For all we know his mother/father/spouse were not surprised at all he got his butt kicked. From what I have read about the guy I have far more respect for Kamara than I do him.

And feel free to ignore me. I will decide on my own who I do or do not wish to ignore.

And I relish my personality. Name call all you wish. Much better than being self-loathing.
